Its tight weave of 80 threads per cm² gives it great strength.

Ideal to combine with a percale cotton sheet to give you a feeling of freshness ideal in all seasons, while a percale cotton fitted sheet guarantees comfort and perfect hold every day.

For a more authentic and accessible feel, you can also discover our collection in 57-thread count cotton.

What's the difference between Cotton, Percale, and Sateen?

Cotton Percale

Percale is a type of weave used in the manufacture of cotton sheets. This weave is tight and regular, which results in a durable and soft fabric. Percale is often considered a high-quality fabric due to its strength and softness.

Cotton Sateen

Satin is often associated with luxury due to its shiny appearance and smooth texture. Unlike percale, satin is not a type of fiber but a type of weave. It can be made from various materials, including cotton, silk, and polyester.

What sets satin apart is its special weave that creates a smooth, lustrous surface on one side, and a matte side on the other. This weave gives satin unparalleled softness and sheen, offering a luxurious feel.

57-thread Count Cotton

57-thread count cotton is a specific type of weave that uses 57 threads per square centimeter. The lower thread count compared to other fabric types, such as percale or sateen, may make 57-thread count cotton less silky, but it remains comfortable and durable. It is an ideal option for those looking for quality sheets at an affordable price and that are easy to maintain.

Can cotton percale be ironed?

Absolutely! Cotton percale can be ironed with a hot iron. However, our Tradition des Vosges cotton percale is treated EASY CARE, meaning that ironing may be unnecessary, and if needed, much easier than with untreated percale.

What is the lifespan of percale bedding?

Bed linen can be kept for many years... 10, 15, or even 20 years or more! Its lifespan will depend on the quality of percale you buy and, above all, on how you care for it.

How to care for cotton percale?

Cotton percale is easy to care for daily. We recommend washing between 40°C and 60°C depending on the colors. Its tight weave allows it to retain its softness and shape wash after wash. Moderate drying and light ironing help preserve the full comfort of the bed linen.
